Hi! I’m Anna Vanderhoof, a 33-year old environmental engineer who loves traveling, meeting people, and seeing new places. Over the last couple months, I’ve been preparing for a 10-day, 95-mile hike which will begin on June 7, 2022. I’m pretty excited about traveling after not having been overseas since my return home from the “big trip” in 2018.
I graduated college in 2011, worked hard, paid off my student and auto-loan debt, and saved a decent sum of money. You see, I always had this dream of traveling the world, seeing new places, meeting new people, and having perspective-broadening experiences. So, at the beginning of August, 2017, I left my job in NYC to begin this adventure.
I returned home May 7th, 2018 from seven months traveling overseas. All I can say is that I wish I could travel forever with intermittent breaks to come home and recharge. Traveling and exploring the world makes me feel so alive.
During this time, I have figured out that I absolutely adore large mountains and being up at summit, I feel strong, accomplished, and vivacious.
